  • Hi guys, hope you don’t mind me turning the tables here but I’d like to offer any PropTech companies an opportunity to introduce themselves to me directly. I run a commercial office park called East Point in Dublin, Ireland. Started in 1994 we are today fully occupied with circa 8,000 people working here in 50 companies across 34 buildings (1.4 million sqft / 130,000 sqm). In 2019 I begin a 3 year comprehensive upgrade program that will see East Point completely upgraded, modernised and with your help optimised with new technology solutions. The problem I have is identifying all the solutions out there to consider, test and implement either as a small pilot or fully across the entire park. There are dozens of areas being looked at including security, access control, maintenance, amenities, bike sharing, transport, parking management, landscaping, community relations, tenant communication, waste management, resource management, energy conservation to name just a few. I look after the park itself but also a number of the office building inside the park (both multi-tenant & single-tenant). Our tenants are mostly large tech companies such as Oracle, Google, Arvato, Fineos, Citrix and so on but we also have smaller tech firms with just 20-30 staff. I have a decent budget for new systems but in some cases I will need to try before I buy. Given the size of East Point this could be good testing opportunity for any startups working on early versions of a product.     I thought I'd throw our hat into the ring to see if it qualified for inclusion on the site. We programmatically write research using AI and Machine Learning to drastically reduce the cost of publishing research, which hitherto has been a high barrier to entry for anyone without an inhouse research team.

    Carla from Eurolink Technology here, our flagship product Veco is an all in one Estate and Lettings Agency software system handling Residential Sales, Lettings, Property Management, Estate Management and Accounts. We've been going for almost 30 years now! I handle all things Marketing but I've spent eight years in PropTech on client and product development side, so a bit of a change for me this year.

    Looking forward to Unissu becoming part of my reading routine and keeping up with what's going on in PropTech around the globe. Great job on this site, guys.

    Richard Brown a.k.a. The Property Voice here. I am first and foremost an investor and developer in the residential sector by day. Also, a knowledge sharer, with blogs, news feed and the like, but I guess most commonly through The Property Voice Podcast, Your Property Network column and a reasonable Twitter and Linked In following too.

    What can I give? Well, possibly a platform...having released a PropTech series on the podcast in 2018, this was followed up with a book called #PropTech (yes, that's the correct title). So, if you have real use cases studies or resources to share with my audience, then please feel free to reach out.

    What do I need (right now)? Well, I guess three things:
    1. I am researching a series looking at SERIOUSLY successful property people to share with my community - if I say made their money mostly through a property-related activity and could be classed as a 'deca-millionaire', with a giving nature (knowledge, not necessarily money!), then I am keen to connect (can be anonymous).
    2. For another series, I am looking into the systemising of a property business to help people to scale.
    3. Women in property...I am married to a wonderfully successful woman in HR and so would like to profile successful women in property too :smile:

    I guess some people could tick all of those boxes as well...
